Coding Fees

A note about the fees we charge you.

The fees quoted below are what the IIMS charges you as an MCA approved Certifying Authority for the administration and issuing of your documentation. You will need to engage a marine surveyor to conduct the work and complete the necessary paperwork. It is up to you to negotiate a fee, payable by you directly to them, for that work in addition to the fees quoted below.

VESSELS UNDER 15 METRES REQUIRING
Issue of a new 5 year certificate: £175
Annual renewal: £125
A stability checking fee will also apply with the issue of any new 5 year certificate starting from £80.

VESSELS OVER 15 METRES REQUIRING 
Issue of a new 5 year certificate: £275
Annual renewal: £175
A stability checking fee will also apply with the issue of any new 5 year certificate starting from £80.

STABILITY CHECKING FEES
Check stability book for form and content:
Excluding damage conditions: £400
Including damage conditions: £550
Check and validate stability information for vessels not requiring SIB, including STIX, STOPS, ISO12217, Heel Test and Current Rating Certificate: £70
“Verifying” drawings and calculations required to accept the vessel’s structure per Workboat Code Edition 2: Case-by-case basis (Contact CA Admin for details)

ADMINISTRATION
Amending and issue of duplicate certificates: £60 + VAT
MLC 2006 certification: £105
Retrieving of archived vessel files: £25 + VAT

TONNAGE SURVEYS
Tonnage surveys MCA: £130
Tonnage surveys Non-UK flags: £150
(Jersey, BVI, Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Isle of Man & Gibraltar)

CARVING & MARKING
Checking and stamping of a Ship’s Carving and Marking Note:  £30
Please send copy of tonnage certificate along with Carving and Marking Note document

All vessel coding fees quoted are VAT exempt unless otherwise specified

*All vessel fees are non refundable

We accept payment by cheque, cash and most types of credit and debit cards
